What a great way after the PPAI Expo to relax with other Industry professionals and discuss everything new for 2011! I hope everyone that is in the San Antonio area will take advantage of coming out and joining CAPPA for a Margarita and some great Industry Fellowship to discuss how we can all partner/brainstorm to make 2011 the best year yet.

I like the idea, although like Doug has said it may be difficult to get SA/Austin clients to justify the drive to Houston for a show.

I have always been a fan of this idea and I am glad it is being considered. Doug has a great point about the location. That would play a big part in the overall success of the event, I think. But no matter where it was I would take advantage and do my best to bring a couple of customers with me to the event!

My issue is the distance. Depending on where this event is scheduled, I have clients that are 150 miles away as I cover a lot of Central Texas. It’s very hard to get customers to drive for 2+ hours to anything. They don’t have the time.

Nice Article, Bob!! Nothing ruffles feathers like the blame game!

No one likes unaccepted charges on an order, especially right now. But if I approve a proof that isn’t right….that is my fault and I have to eat the extra charge! I’d be mad…but only at myself.

As distributors we have to remember that we represent our customers and we have them as a back up to approve proofs as well. If we approve it on our own, we eat the mistake.

All we can be responsible for is our own efforts. Proofs are done to catch errors that any of us could make. So as a distributor, we need to stop and take a little time when we get a proof and really make sure it is right…or we don’t deserve the business that our customers give us!
